Does JourneyApps only support PNG icons, or can I add and use SVG icons to my assets folder as well?
At the time of writing this, only .png and .jpg images are supported.
Side note, you are able to update the color of .png assets programmatically e.g. you can set the color attribute on the asset node of a list-item.
