My client has devices that have a built in infrared barcode scanner, how would I get the app to use that instead of the camera?

In short, your mileage may vary depending on exact device and the way that the device has implemented its barcode scanner software and how they’ve exposed it to app developers. That said, give that sample code a try and let us know if it works.
If it does not work, please send us a support ticket with the make and model of the device and we will let you know if it’s supported or not. (Please note, it may require you to send us a device so that we can test it - but let’s cross that bridge when we get there)
