After I downloaded and installed the JourneyApps MacOS container I got the following error:
“JourneyApps” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software
How can I open the app on MacOS, is this a problem?

This is basically standard for any app not installed via the MacOS App Store. So what you need to do is just give the operating system permission to open the app despite the fact that it cannot check it for malicious software.
To do this, find the application in Finder, JourneyApps in this case, (the Show in Finder option helps with this), then right click on the application and choose ‘Open’
And then from the subsequent dialog choose ‘Open’ - this will launch the application.
Once you’ve done it once you won’t have to do it again
