When sync rules reprocess, what is the impact on app users?

The expected behavior is that:

  • existing users will not get kicked out of the app. Their sync spinner will spin until the reprocessing is done (because the app is asking the backend for its data, and that is constantly changing during the reprocessing)
  • users enrolling for the first time will not be able to complete the initial sync, so they will need to wait for the reprocessing to complete before they will get access to their app.
