What are the possible reasons for the sync spinner spinning?

The sync spinner is responsible for indicating network action. This includes the following:
- container updates
- app updates
- data download
- data upload or attachment upload
The time that the spinner spins is directly related to the amount of objects it is required to sync. You can also manually start a sync by clicking on the spinner itself.
